How are points accumulated?
For cruise dates after October 5, 2020, points are accumulated based on the number of nights you sail and vary depending on the category of stateroom you book. You earn 2 points per cruise night for Owner’s and Classic Suites on the Star Plus Class yachts (fare category OW and CS) and the Bridge Suite on Wind Surf (fare category BRS). Earn 1.5 points per cruise night for Wind Class suites (fare category OS or STE) or Deluxe Suites on Star Plus Class 1.5 (fare category DS). Stateroom category is determined by actual paid fare. All stateroom categories earn 1 point per cruise night (fare categories B, BX, A, AX, TX, S, S1, S2, S3, BS, BS1, SP, SS1, SBS, SBS1). All cruise nights prior to October 5, 2020 were accumulated at 1 point per cruise night.

Where do I check my Yacht Club Member status?
Check your Yacht Club member status at MyWindstar.

When does my status get updated and my benefits go into effect?
Your Yacht Club status is updated as of October 5, and going forward, the day after you complete your qualifying cruise.

What do I do if there are discrepancies in my cruise history?
We are honoring the cruise records in our system. Due to reservation system changes, we do not have any history prior to 2009 and the period for making any updates to records closed at the end of February 2023.

What is my Yacht Club Member number used for?
Your Yacht Club Member number acts as an ID number so we can easily find your account. On MyWindstar, enter your Yacht Club Member number and date of birth (MMDD) as your initial PIN to view your cruise history and current Yacht Club status. Additionally, provide your Yacht Club Member number when you book your reservation to ensure that your Yacht Club benefits are properly applied.

What if I forget or lose my Yacht Club Member number?
If you forget or lose your Yacht Club Member number, please contact Windstar at 800-258-7245.

What if I forget or lose my password to MyWindstar?
If you forget or lose your password to MyWindstar, please select “Forgot Password” to reset your password on the My Windstar login page and follow the instructions.

STATUS

How many days after a completed cruise will points be applied?
You should receive your points the very next day after your cruise is completed. Check MyWindstar to verify that your points were added correctly and your status updated.

Do guests who are booked under Friends & Family or any other discounted rates qualify for points?
Yes, most bookings qualify for Yacht Club points, unless otherwise noted.

What is the breakdown of points earned by stateroom category?

I am booked on a Star Collector cruise and will be eligible for the next tier level when I'm on board for the second leg of my cruise. Can I get the next tier level benefits while on board?
Your benefits for the next level will apply after you have completed the entire Star Collector cruise.

I sailed on Windstar prior to October 5, 2020 and would have been a Yacht Club Member with benefits from the enhanced program, can I get a retroactive credit for the discounts I would have received on my past cruise?
The benefits do not apply to cruise nights prior to October 5, 2020.

BENEFITS

I currently already have a cruise booked with Windstar. Does Windstar adjust the price of the beverage, Wi-Fi, and laundry packages and shore excursions on future bookings that were booked at full price prior to the October 5, 2020 start date of this enhanced program?
Yes, your benefits for your tier have already been applied to beverage, Wi,-Fi, and laundry packages and shore excursions you previously purchased for your future booking. If you have already paid in full, you will receive a credit.

Is the 5% cruise fare discount combinable with other discounts or sale promotions?
The 5% cruise fare discount is combinable with most other promotions, but you will need to verify the combinability of the price and discount when booking as some restrictions do apply.

How do I see my Yacht Club discounts on my booking invoice?
Your Yacht Club discounts will show as “Yacht Club Member discount” below each line item on your invoice when it has been applied.

My traveling companion are I are two different status levels and are booked in the same stateroom. Can I share by benefit with my traveling companion?
Benefits are applied to each individual separately based on their tier level, meaning you may see two different costs for the same shore excursion, Wi-Fi, laundry, and beverage packages may display as two different prices for each person within the same stateroom.

How does the Yacht Club Referral program work?
When a Yacht Club Member refers a new guest to Windstar Cruises, in order to receive the $100 onboard credit per person, the Yacht Club Member needs to alert their Travel Advisor or Vacation Planner which New Guests they referred and when their sailing was booked. The New Guests must have paid for the sailing in full in order for the onboard credit to be applied. If the Yacht Club Member already has a booking when the New Guests pay in full and informs the New Guests’ Travel Advisor or Vacation Planner that a current Yacht Club Member referred them, the onboard credit will be automatically applied to the existing booking. The New Guests will receive the $100 per person referral credit when the New Guests mention that they were referred and it is verified.

What categories do I need to book in order to receive the ‘Bonus Points’ and how do they get applied to my profile?
For cruise nights after October 5, 2020, you earn 2 points per cruise night for Owner’s and Classic Suites on the Star Plus Class (fare category OW and CS) and the Bridge Suite on Wind Surf (fare category BRS). Earn 1.5 points per cruise night for Wind Class suites (fare category OS or STE) or Deluxe Suites on Star Plus Class 1.5 (fare category DS). All other stateroom categories earn 1 point per cruise night (fare categories B, BX, A, AX, TX, S, S1, S2, S3, BS, BS1, SP, SS1, SBS, SBS1). Stateroom category is determined by actual paid fare. These points will be automatically reflected in your profile on MyWindstar once you have completed the cruise.

Am I allowed to donate or gift my points to someone else?
At this time, we are not able to transfer points between guests.

How do I verify that you have my current address, email and telephone number in my profile?
Please contact Guest Services at 800-258-7245 to verify your profile information.

I am making the booking and paying for my traveling companion. Since I’m paying for everything, can I get my companion’s points credited to me?
Points are credited to each guest’s sailing on the cruise, not the purchaser, as benefits are credited to each individual’s profile.

Are the beverage, Wi-Fi, and laundry package discounts applicable to those elements in the All-Inclusive Fare or just if purchased a la carte?
Discounts for beverage, Wi-Fi, and laundry packages are only applicable for a la carte purchases.

When should I expect to see the new benefit discounts on my current booking?
Your discounts for shore excursions, beverage, Wi-Fi, and laundry packages are automatically applied to your current bookings.

Will I receive a new invoice once the new benefit discounts are applied?
We automatically updated your booking for the shore excursion, Wi-Fi, laundry, and beverage package discounts. Please call your Travel Advisor or the Guest Services Reservation Department if you would like a copy of your updated invoice.

Do the beverage, Wi-Fi, and laundry packages need to be pre-purchased outside of the 7 days from sailing in order to receive the Yacht Club member discount?
Beverage, Wi-Fi, and laundry packages do not need to be pre-purchased to use your Yacht Club member discount. Discounts are automatically applied pre-cruise or on board. If you wish to pre-purchase amenities packages, they need to be added to your reservation 7 days prior to sailing, but these amenities can also be added onboard.

What are Yacht Club Member sailings?
Yacht Club Member sailings are sailings where Yacht Club Members receive 20% off the current fares (not combinable with any additional discounts) and are a great opportunity to meet other Yacht Club Members. You’ll receive a special commemorative souvenir, celebrate with other Yacht Club Members at exclusive events, and meet one or more of Windstar’s executives. The current Yacht Club Member sailings are:

Grand Japan, Star Breeze- September 30, 2023;
Panama Canal, Cartagena, San Blas Islands & More, Star Pride - January 27, 2024;
Spanish Symphony, Wind Surf - April 13, 2024;
Emirates, Qatar & the Span of Oman, Star Legend - December 4, 2024

I am new to Windstar, but my stateroom companion is a Yacht Club Member. If I’m the one purchasing the cruise, can the 5% Yacht Club discount be applied to the booking fare?
Yes, as long as there is a Yacht Club Member on the booking, the 5% Yacht Club discount is applied on qualifying fares. However, the onboard credit, shore excursion, Wi-Fi, laundry, and beverage packages will not be applied to items you as the individual purchases.

Are the new Yacht Club Member benefits available to third guests?
The 5% discount on cruise fares applies to third guests, but the onboard credit, shore excursion discounts, and onboard retail and amenities discounts are based on the third guest’s individual Yacht Club status tier benefits.

When will the Three Star and Four Star benefits for dining with officers going to be available again?
Due to the possible transmission of illness, we are taking extra precautions to keep our crew and guests healthy. We constantly evaluate all the components of our Beyond Ordinary Care program to stay up to date with the latest governmental and regulatory guidelines and will resume these benefits once it is safer to do so.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Why didn’t I receive onboard credit for my booking even though it is part of my Yacht Club tier benefits?
The onboard credit applies only to new bookings made after October 5, 2020 and may not be applicable with certain sale fares.

MyWindstar isn’t showing my discounts for my benefits.
