Vieques, Concierge Collection: Evening Bio Bay Kaykaing
Welcome to the brightest documented bio bay in the world. The very narrow inlet to the bay and shallow depth throughout promote the high salinity that the dinoflagellates (these are the micro-organisms that create the luminescence) need to prosper.  Red mangroves thrive on the edges of the bay and release the vitamin B-12 that these organisms need.  This bay has also been protected from development that could potentially produce light pollution that would take away from the brightness of the bay. You will be given a life vest and board 2-person kayaks to paddle approximately ¾ of a mile one way on the bay and use the wind to assist your return. The kayak tour will begin at dusk so you can see and learn about the mangroves and bay that provide the environment to support the bioilluminescence.  The kayak tour will continue after dark for you to experience the water sparkle around you; an experience like no other.

Please  note: Wear casual clothes that can get wet, swimsuits are optional. Watershoes are preferred, and all other shoes will be removed at shore. Cameras are highly discouraged as it is difficult to capture the glow in the water. All items that are not needed will be left in the van with the driver however the driver will depart to pick up the second group. If guests elect to use their own insect repellent, we highly request the use of a non-deet formula for water conservation purposes. Insect repellent will be provided upon request.

Experience the hustle and bustle of the picturesque capital of Grenada by comfortably strolling through its quaint streets.  You will begin your tour with a brief stroll through Fort George for some incredible views before you walk through the Sendall Tunnel, which was constructed to facilitate travel between alternate ends of the city in 1894. Once you reach the north end of The Carenage, get your cameras ready as it is said to be the most picturesque harbor in the Caribbean and this vantage point will offer you some great photo opportunities. Horta City Walk
Leave the pier on foot accompanied by your local guide to discover Horta, a well-known transatlantic staging post since the Age of Discoveries. A walk along the sea avenue will take you to the Marina, the main recreational harbor of the Azores and one of the most busy and famous in the world. It is a linking point for international regattas, and superstition tells sailors to paint a mural on the breakwater in order to attain divine protection during the rest of their trip. Overlooking the Marina is Santa Cruz Fort, built in the 16th century to protect the harbor from pirates, privateers, and foreign navies. Part of the history of Faial can be witnessed at Horta Museum installed in the old Jesuit College, storing collections of documents, ethnography, photography and art. A visit to this town would not be completed without passing by the famous Peter´s Café where you can take the opportunity to try a gin or a coffee ( not included) and relax . Horta, Island Scenic Highlights
On this land of hydrangeas, green silence and cliffside contemplation, it is easy to believe the legend that the nine islands of the Azores are all that remain of the lost continent of Atlantis. Board a motor coach for a panoramic drive that will take you first to the belvedere (viewpoint) at Espalamaca for views of the port and the charming town of Horta. Visitors are often reminded by nature that, in the Azores, they might experience four seasons in one day. The road ascends 3,000 feet to the vast volcanic crater in the center of the island. This caldera is more than a mile in diameter and 1,200 feet deep, surrounded by some of the most luxuriant vegetation imaginable. Continuing westward, you'll pass the typical Azorean villages of Ribeira Funda, Praia do Norte, and Norte Pequeño, and catch a magnificent view of Capelinhos, the volcano that rose from the sea in 1957.

Horta, Whale & Dolphin Watching
Lying in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the Azores islands are a permanent home or point of passage for more than a third of the world´s whale and dolphin species. Sperm whales, common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and Risso´s dolphins are present all year round. Other species visit or pass by during specific seasons. Summer months are the best time to see Atlantic spotted dolphins, pilot whales and striped dolphins, while the spring months are the time to see migrating baleen whales such as blue whales, fin whales, and Sei whales. The whale watching activity, which takes from 2.5 – 3 hours, is done with a professional team of lookouts, skippers and biologists on rigid inflatable boats. Before you leave to the ocean, the whaling company will make a briefing including information about the species you may see, and the Azorean Whale Watching code of ethics.

Please note: Wear comfortable clothes,  rubber-soled shoes and waterproof jacket; bring a camera, hat, sunscreen, and local currency if you wish to purchase any goods. This activity depends 100% on the weather conditions, so it can be cancelled or postponed in case the conditions are not favorable. This activity takes place with animals in their natural habitat, therefore the possibility of sightings is totally dependent on their behavior. This tour is not recommended for children under 8 years old, pregnant guests or guests with back, neck or joint problems. Participants have to be able to walk from the jetty to the embarkation ( no access stairs nor ramp).

This tour will depart from the port of Cádiz for a visit to the historical center of town and its bay. Your guide will point out the important monuments and landmarks along the way. Watch for the Mudejar-style tobacco factory (1741) which now serves as the Congress building, Santo Domingo Church, the old Royal Prison in Andalusian neo-classical style and the Roman Theatre which overlooks the city’s main cathedral. Before reaching the city center, you will also pass the ancient Phoenician port of La Caleta, the Botanical Gardens and the castle walls that once protected the town. Leave the motorcoach at Plaza de España and start your walking tour through the most typical streets of the city. You will see the Plaza de la Mina, once a monk’s vegetable patch, and the outside of the Cádiz Museum. On Calle Ancha, there are beautiful 19th century palaces and the Cathedral where you can step inside to view an eclectic transition from 13th century Baroque style to 19th century neo-classical style.  Flamenco, a vibrant mixture of dance, song and guitar is the heart and soul of Andalucía. Like the province, flamenco has evolved alongside the contrasting historic influences of Arabic, Jewish, and Gypsy cultures. The Gypsies arrived from India in 1450 and have continued to be pivotal to the development of flamenco. Today, throughout the world there is a demand for a modern, youthful, "flamenco fusion" a blend of flamenco and world music. Obviously, there are differences of opinion between the traditional (cante jondo) purists and the performers of modern flamenco. End up the tour enjoying the most typical Spanish dance together with a drink.

Tangier, Tantalizing Tangier & Tetouan
Disembark the ship and depart by air-conditioned coach for a drive to Cap Spartel, one of the promontories projecting into the waters of the two seas. It looks towards the Atlantic and the setting sun and is where the Atlantic Ocean meets Mediterranean Sea. The Hercules cave has two openings, one to sea and one to land. The cave itself is part natural and part man-made.  You will re-board the coach for a short drive to the entrance of the Kasbah, before beginning a comprehensive walking excursion through one of Tangier’s most historic and architecturally interesting areas. The Kasbah area is spread across the highest point of the medina, and your guide will lead you on an uphill walk while pointing out special buildings and suggesting good places for photos. Once at the top you will find yourself in an area much unchanged since the Roman times. The Kasbah Museum is newly renovated and focuses on the history of the neighborhood. You’re sure to enjoy the traditional courtyard, the various displays and the large mosaic works or art on display. Your guide will lead you into one of Tangier's most colorful and bustling areas, the Grand Socco (Souk). It is the center of things and the link between the medina and the new city.  You will then drive to Tetouan, to tour the old Royal Palace, a 17th century building closed to public entry but its main ornate gate Bab Er-Rouah can give you a mental idea of what is beyond. Hassan II Square is situated where the historic and modern parts of the city converge to create the heart of the town. Join a guided walk through the Medina which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have the opportunity to visit the Bab Akla School of Traditional Arts and Crafts. Tetouan’s famous School of Plastic Arts, the first of its kind in Morocco, has produced some of Morocco’s best painters over the past half century. The city stands out for the beauty of these traditional arts including embroidery, cuisine, zullayj or mosaics, and carved and painted wooden objects. The scholars of the school are all children that come from disadvantaged backgrounds and the skills learned give them a new opportunity for success in their future. Your entrance fees go directly to maintaining this wonderful initiative.  Enjoy a typical Moroccan lunch in a beautiful Riad in the Old Medina of Tetouan. Time permitting, you will have some time at leisure for shopping before returning to the ship.

Malaga by Segway
Some things are just plain fun and riding a Segway around Spain definitely falls into that category. It takes a few minutes to get the hang of it; then you'll never want to get off! You'll begin your ride (after an introduction to the operation of the Segway) at Plaza de la Marina, in the center of Málaga. Continue to Larios Street, the main shopping avenue of the city, then on to Merced Square, at the end of Calle Alcazabilla, to see the obelisk erected as a tribute to General Torrijos, currently the headquarters of the Picasso Foundation. Next you will ride to the Santiago Church, built on the site of a former mosque and Málaga's oldest church (founded in 1490). You’ll also visit the Roman Theatre, discovered in 1951, which was built in the time of Caesar Augustus and used until the 3rd century A.D. After that time, it was used as a quarry by the Moors to restore the Alcazaba, which is the next stop on your tour. This impressive building, constructed mainly in the 11th century, was the palace/fortress of the ruling Muslims. Continuing on your tour, you’ll see the Catedral de la Encarnacion, Bishop Square, and the Paseo del Parque, before returning to Marina Square.

Please note:  This tour is not possible for people confined to wheelchairs.  The minimum age to participate is 10 and participants must weigh between 66 and 265 pounds. Helmets will be provided. Participants must sign a waiver to go on this excursion.

Palma de Mallorca, City Sights
Palma is the capital of the Balearic Islands and lies on the southeastern coast of Palma de Mallorca Island. A wealth of architectural highlights awaits you. Board your coach and travel to your first stop at the circle-shaped 14th century Bellver Castle, one of the world’s very few rounded castles and the only one of its type in Europe. Built in military-influenced Gothic style, it lies atop a hill affording expansive panoramic views over the city and surrounding countryside.  You will travel on to the handsome 13th century La Seu Cathedral, which presides over the city and is one of Europe’s finest examples of pure ecclesiastic Gothic architecture. After exploring the Cathedral’s interior you will view the exterior of the adjacent Almudaina Palace. This austere palace was originally an Arab fortress and later the palace of Majorcan kings. Before returning to the yacht you will stop to see the unique style and architectural engineering of the city’s famous bullring.

Please note: Comfortable shoes with rubber soles are recommended. There are approximately 100 steps from the coach parking area to the La Seu Cathedral. Spanish law requires that motor coach guest’s wear their seat belts at all times while in vehicles that are so equipped. On Sundays and holidays the Cathedral is not open to visitors. The history of the Cathedral will be given outside. When visiting the Cathedral, knees and shoulders must be covered. Bellver Castle is closed on Mondays and the visit will be from the outside only.

Palma de Mallorca, Valldemossa Village & Chopin with Tasting
A short motor coach drive past olive trees and local vegetation brings you to the quaint 14th century village of Valldemossa, located at the foot of the Northern Mountain Range. Its former royal residence, La Cartuja, is the first stop on your tour. The residence became a Carthusian monastery in the Middle Ages and your guide will show you the chapel, a pharmacy, and the monks’ library. Valldemossa’s shining moment was in 1838, when George Sand and Frederic Chopin came to live at the monastery. Their stay here is well documented and a collection of their furniture remains. George Sand later wrote a book about their time here, entitled “A Winter in Majorca.” During free time, you will have the perfect opportunity to taste the typical sweets from Valldemosa called Coca de Patata, an individual sweet cake made with potatoes. The drive back to the ship will give you the opportunity to view the impressive cliffs to the north.

Start your walk from the pier with your guide, viewing the elegant shops and boutiques that surround the charming piazzetta along the way.  You will walk by the church to the hiking path. The itinerary of the hike can vary depending on your guide, on the weather and path conditions and on the fellow guests in your group. You will pass elegant villas nestled among rich tropical vegetation and olive trees. If your tour starts heading towards Paraggi, you will walk along the coastline and then hike up towards Acquaviva and Molini, where an old olive oil mill has been restored, now housing a little museum, a café, and toilets. The path leads the way through the Mediterranean flora, vineyards and olive groves. Vegetation hugs the medieval dwellings and the cliffs drop off to the crystal-clear sea, making this one of the most fascinating locations of the Riviera. Continue walking on to Santa Anna and Nozarego and finally you will arrive at the main promenade of Santa Margherita Ligure. Portofino, San Fruttuoso & Camogli by Private Boat
Here’s a tempting opportunity to visit charming and remote Italian coastal fishing villages that are not easily accessible other than by boat. After a 20-minute cruise, your first stop will be in the little bay of San Fruttuoso Village, the ancient residence of the Doria family. Its splendid natural surroundings are enhanced by the architectural beauty of its church and 10th century abbey. The imposing cliffs encircling the inlet, a small beach and lush Mediterranean vegetation, combined with the almost unreal absence of vehicles, creates a truly unique and enjoyable ambiance. Pause to savor the enchanting views as your boat remains in the bay for 10 minutes. Heading further up the coast you will reach Camogli, a typical small fishing village that was formerly the site of bustling shipyards that helped build one of the world’s greatest merchant fleets. Camogli’s original medieval setting was centered around a local parish church constructed on an island that was once completely detached from the mainland. Today, it is connected to the mainland by a square surrounded by colorful buildings including one of the Italian coast’s most beautiful Baroque churches. During your 1½-hour stay, there will be time for a guided tour followed by free time. Back aboard your private boat, tasty focaccia bread and local wine will be served during the 45-minute return cruise to Portofino.

Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothes. Don't forget sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses! This tour is a more unique visit to some of the more charming and remote fishing villages in the area and offers a cultural excursion difficult to do on your own. You will discover the highlights of the island and many sites that cannot be admired from the sea like the little Church of St. Mary where San Silverio was buried. During the tour you will have also time to relax and take pictures of the breathtaking view in Cala/Punta Incenso and Felci, that takes its name from the medicinal herbs that grow in that area and once used by hermits who settled there. Stop also in Chiaia di Luna that can be reached by a tunnel that leads to a provincial road, built by the Romans and used as a port-refuge known as "diva-luna."  In the Napoletan dialect "chiaia" means beach. Sorrento, Herculaneum
The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its “decumani” (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the “cardines” (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a “feeling” about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii’s buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. You will discover the ancient luxurious properties and villas including the House of the Mosaic, the House of Deer, the Thermae (baths) and the House of Carbonized Furniture. After a guided tour, you will be driven back to meet the yacht in Sorrento.

Follow your guide up the narrow street that leads to the Greco-Roman Theatre. Taormina’s most famous antique dates back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries B.C. and still hosts performances today. The theatre’s dramatic location is nothing less than breathtaking. The tiny village of Castelmola is strategically located near Taormina, a splendid site with panoramic views. The focus of the village is the attractive Piazzetta del Duomo with its fine, intricate paving. From various points there are wonderful views of Mount Etna, the north coast and the beaches below. Giardini Naxos, Taormina & Mt. Etna
Taormina perches on a terrace overlooking the sea and epitomizes the legendary beauty of Sicily. A one-hour drive brings you to the outskirts of this picturesque site which was founded in the 3rd century B.C. Although almost completely renovated by the Romans, it now reflects a medieval character that is truly captivating. After arriving near Taormina’s center, your guide will accompany you on a walking tour along cobblestone streets to Palazzo Corvaja, a 15th century building whose arched windows and doorways reflect its strong Arabic influence. Next, you will stroll to the 3rd century Greco-Roman Theater, spectacularly situated overlooking Mount Etna and Naxos Bay. Renowned for its expansive size and unique acoustic qualities, it is still used for open-air concerts. After free time to stroll or shop along the famous Corso Umberto, you will rejoin the coach for the 60-minute journey back to the yacht.

Please note:  Buses are not permitted to enter the town of Taormina. Guests will get to the city center from the parking lot by lifts. Keep in mind that Taormina can be very crowded.

Giardini Naxos, Taormina & The Blue Grotto
This tour will give you the opportunity to visit the resort town of Taormina, considered  one of the most beautiful destinations in Sicily. The  excursion will begin with the short journey by bus  to  Taormina.  Leave your bus  near the center of Taormina, and set out on foot as your guide will lead you along cobblestone streets to the Palazzo Corvaja, a 15th century building adorned with classic double windows. From there it will be a short walk to the amazing and impressive Greco-Roman theater that is Taormina's iconic landmark. Like the town, the theater dates back to the 3rd century BC. The Greeks did an incredible job of siting it - its width and acoustic qualities are so inimitable that it is still used for open-air concerts today. The Romans, who came later, did some work on the theater but even they were unable to vastly improve on the original. Explore the theater, and make sure you turn around and appreciate the astounding view of Mount Etna looming above the town and the Bay of Naxos below. Once the guided visit is done, spend some free time independently exploring Taormina’s main street, Corso Umberto. By bus you will reach the port of Giardini Naxos, board a boat and motor out into the bay. Your destination is the fabled Blue Grotto. Glide slowly into this sea cave to witness the famed blue glow that reflects off the water. Afterwards, snack on fresh almond cookies before heading to the inviting waters off Isla Bella for a refreshing swim. Dry off and enjoy the scenic cruise back to the pier.

Please note:  Bring a bottle of water, your hat, sunscreen and local currency. Bring your swimsuit and a towel if you wish to swim.

Fiskardo, Melissani Lake & Ouzo Tasting
The varied landscapes of Kephalonia seem like they have been created by the hands of a dreaming god. The coastline is like a lace of sheer cliffs plunging into a turquoise sea and gentle pebbly and sandy beaches.  The hinterland  is a mosaic of densely forested mountains and well cultivated hills and valleys. Small villages and towns emerge from the pines and the cypress trees, topped by Venetian castles and chapels. You will drive to the village of Karavomylos where the mysterious, 40,000-year-old, underground Melissani Lake is located. During the 1953 earthquake, the cave's roof collapsed, creating amazing light displays on the cave walls. Legend says the lake is named for the nymph Melissanthe, who fell in love with Pan and drowned in the lake when he rejected her. A small boat will be waiting to take you on a breathtaking trip across its mysteriously salty, subterranean water. You will find yourself surrounded by a vast, shimmering play of blue and violet colors, created by the sun filtering through the hole in the ceiling more than 100 feet overhead. The headwater is in Argostólion, and it enters the cave by traveling across the island and through holes in the coastline. Your tour will continue to the village of Sami, for a refreshment stop for ouzo (aniseed flavored liqueur) and Greek meze at a waterfront restaurant.

Your 3+-hour boating adventure will provide you with the opportunity to experience the unique beauty of this area.  The numerous sheltered beaches are of the pebbly variety - not sandy but are ideal for swimming as the bays are in sheltered positions and the sea is usually calm. The praiseworthy colors of the crystal-clear waters will magnetize even the most experienced traveler’s eye. For sheer grandeur of natural beauty combined with ancient ruins, there is probably no other spot on earth that rivals Delphi. Visit the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo, where the celebrated oracle Pythia dwelt. Her ambiguous prophecies were known and respected all over the ancient world. Visit the Temple of Apollo, the Sacred Way, the amphitheater, the best preserved stadium of Greece, and the Castalian spring, where in ancient days the pilgrims had to wash before they were allowed to consult the oracle. In the Delphi museum, see such treasures as the Omphalos, which marked the center of the world, and the magnificent bronze Charioteer, one of the finest pieces surviving from the 5th century BC.

Milos Highlights
Volcanic Milos, the most westerly island of the Cyclades has stunning beaches, coves, and geologically interesting places. Since antiquity the island has been quarried for its minerals.  Obsidian, a hard, black volcanic glass used for manufacturing sharp blades was mined on the island and exported throughout the Mediterranean. You will visit the Sarakiniko Beach with its lunar landscape,  the result of volcanic eruptions. This beautiful, moon-like spot is one of the island’s many geological wonders and perhaps one of the most photographed places in the Cyclades. You’ll take a walk down the beach so you can experience this one-of-a-kind location and take photographs.  Next you will visit the cave of Papafragkas, a cluster of deep-sea inlets and sea caves.  Located next to Papafragkas Cave is Filakopi, a settlement dating back to the Neolithic Period (approximately 9,000 to 4,000 B.C.) and remained an active settlement until 1,000 B.C. From Papafragkas you can see the remains of the walls of the city (only standing remains of the city at this point). The tour does NOT enter the archaeological site. Next stop Plaka and its cobble streets and alleys. Plaka is a classic Cycladic village with white stone houses and bougainvillea flowers, locted on a hilltop. You’ll walk through the village to admire its traditional architecture and its stunning view of the sea, and you’ll taste some homemade sweets at the village’s local pastry shops at your leisure. Following, the Christian Catacombs, which are the largest in Greece, and the ruins of the ancient city of Klima. Close to the Catacombs is the marble amphitheater. There are still seven intact seat rows and there is a lovely view of the bay. On the way to the theater from the Catacombs, you will also visit the site where Venus de Milo was discovered in 1820 (now residing in the Louvre in Paris).
