Departing Papeete, your tour will take you along the West Coast of the island of Tahiti. The atoll is being classified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and the beach will give you a nice and easy access to its crystal-clear waters. Put your fins on and jump in for a good refreshing swim or just sunbath relaxing with a fresh coconut.

Please note: This tour is NOT a transfer to a "resort" but to a local home. Facilities are simple and limited and this location boasts a very limited amount of coral formation, so water entry is an easy walk in. Embark on a unique journey to discover Fakarava's lagoon, classified by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve. Between sightseeing for sea birds in their natural environment, enjoying the different shades of green and blue from the lagoon, and swimming in the pristine waters, you will feel what it’s like to be a castaway in paradise. Snorkeling will operate directly from the boat, participants should note that they will enter some areas where water is too deep to stand in and harmless black tipped sharks may be present. Fakarava has a wide and deep lagoon with a surface of 429 square miles (1,112 sq. km) and two passes. The main pass to enter the lagoon, located in the northwestern end, is known as Passe Garuae and is the largest pass in French Polynesia.. The current in these passes is usually fairly strong because of the enormous amount of water that exits/enters the lagoon between the low and the high tides. This may affect the conditions inside the lagoon so timing on this tour is very dependent from this natural fact. Snorkeling time and location may be adjusted as needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable excursion.

Please note: No restroom facilities are available on this tour .At operator’s discretion, a waiver may be required to be filled out prior to departure. The operator will require guests participating in water activities, to know how to swim, be comfortable in the water and able to cope with occasional currents. Depth of the water is not guaranteed, due to currents and sea level variation, guests are reminded to verify their ability prior to take part in a water activity. Get on your E-bike to discover the North Fakarava atoll, from the village of Rotoava to the old lighthouse of Topaka. (also known as the pyramid of Fakarava) On your way back, your guide will take you on the oceanside trail to see how locals live in these latitudes and learn about their everyday routine. Before getting back to the pier, you will stop at the Church of Jean de la Croix built in the typical architecture of the Tuamotu Islands for a last picture opportunity.

Please note: Tours DO operate in wet weather but all tours are subject to cancellation prior to departure dependent upon inappropriate weather conditions that would lead to safety issues. While this tour is an assisted bike ride, participants must be in good fitness condition to be able to keep up with a group at a fair speed during the tour. This program is for Certified Divers looking to do a half day of diving (approximately 4 hours).. The typical time underwater for the 2 tank dive is 45 minutes for the first dive, with a 1 hour of surface interval followed by a second dive of approximately 45 minutes. Fakarava is under UNESCO protection, so the coral is pristine and there is a huge underwater biodiversity and the density of the school of fish are unbelievable. You can see plenty of sharks, manta rays, napoleons, etc. The dives are taking place on the north pass of Fakarava, the largest one in French Polynesia, also known for the density of its marine life and wall of sharks. Expect some strong currents, incoming or outgoing, depending on the tides and weather conditions. This dive is known as the most beautiful one in French Polynesia.

Transfer by bus along the main road of Rangiroa, passing the airport just before turning into the Black Pearl Farm. Most pearl farms are small in size, and the number of staff here is quite typical of the farms in this region. On arrival at the farm, the staff will provide an introduction to pearl farming and explain how black pearls are produced. Learn about the chronology and evolution of the industry, how oysters are selected, grown and then grafted for production. Grafting is the key element, as this requires a skilled craftsman to perform precise surgery on each oyster. The real highlight of the excursion is the opportunity to view a selection of unset black pearls that are also available for purchase. Here your guide will be able to show you the criteria by which the pearls are graded for quality. You will see the round, baroque and semi-baroque pearls that range in grade from C to A+. This tour is ideal for those who have an interest in learning about pearl cultivation or for those who are shopping for black pearls. Here is a wonderful and easy way to get acquainted with the coral gardens and tropical fish of Rangiroa. You will board a glass bottom boat and float slowly over the massive coral heads that cluster in the shallow areas next to the Tiputa Channel. You will look through the large windows that open onto a colorful world full of parrot, butterfly and surgeonfish. It is likely that you will also encounter black tipped sharks and the majestic napoleon fish. A cover provides protection from the sun and eliminates glare, so you are sure to take home some great photos. The boat crew will attract the fish to come right under the glass panels to allow you easy viewing and photos.

Ride by covered motorized boat to the west coast of Tahaa to discover the beauty of the island. You’ll leave the boat and walk across an uninhabited motu (islet) off the coast. Start your snorkeling experience from the other side of the motu, and your guide will lead you as the current will carry you through the shallow lagoon on the way back to the boat. The area teems with a spectacular variety of tropical fish and amazing corals. The richness of this coral garden is unique in Polynesia!

This program is for Certified Divers looking to do a half day of diving (approximately 4 hours). The typical time underwater for the 2 tank dive is 45 minutes for the first dive, with a long surface interval followed by a second dive of approximately 45 minutes. For guests only wanting a one tank, you can go at the same price and may choose to snorkel or swim while the second dive is going. Dives will take place at two of the following three sites (weather dependent).

Tapu: An ocean dive and one of the most famous dive sites of Bora Bora. From the coral drop-off, you will meet lemon sharks, black tip sharks, humphead maori wrasses, moray eels, turtles.

Toopua: A lagoon dive where many tropical fish gather along the wall, among others, anemones and clown fish. At the bottom, you find a large sand bank where eagle rays and sting rays wander searching for food. You will anchor or drift dive depending upon weather conditions.

Please note: This tour is recommended for those in reasonably good physical condition. This tour is not available to those with mobility issues or using a wheelchair. Get ready for a leisure E-Bike ride along the coastline of Huahine. Your tour departs from the pier where you will be fitted with your E-Bike and a helmet. After an introductory course on how to use the E-Bike, depart for a guided leisure biking ride towards the east of the island. Sightings will include archaeological sites, a beach stop for a swim opportunity, and some beautiful views of the villages and rural living along the way. Your electric-assisted bike will make it really nice and easy, and biking the green island of Huahine remains a really enjoyable and eco-friendly way to appreciate the island’s beauty. Since there is a beach stop if you have your own mask and snorkel please bring it along in your backpack. Departing from Fare you will bike the North East island, you will pass by Maeva Marae, the fish traps, Faie eels, and enjoy an approximate 40-minute beach stop. Departing from Maroe you will bike the South Island, including Anini Marae, and enjoy an approximate 40- minute beach stop in Parea, viewing points over the lagoon along the way.

Please note: While this tour is an assisted bike ride, bikers must be in good fitness condition to be able to keep up with a group at a fair speed during the tour in a tropical environment (heat & humidity). The ride is approximately 30km/18miles in length for about 3h10 on a mostly flat terrain, some limited parts will be unpaved. Itinerary depends on the ship anchorage position. An average of 20km/12miles an hour speed is expected. The timing provided is approximate and guests MUST know how to ride a bike. Navigate your way via outrigger canoe or boat to a midsize islet. Upon arrival at the motu, you will experience the amazing clear brilliance of the water and the stress free, relaxed atmosphere. There will be time to swim in the lagoon on both sides of the motu. Your guide will teach you a bit of cooking before you enjoy your lunch, feet dangling in the water. Afterwards, you will have time to explore the fields around the motu and the reef side of the islet where you will have time for relaxing beach time. You will set off on an educational exploration of the island and learn all about Polynesian geology, botany, anthropology, archaeology, sociology, economy, history, and traditions. Your guide will share his knowledge, experience, and passion for this beautiful island with such a rich culture. Boarding "Le Truck," French Polynesia's famous local style bus, you will depart from Maroe Village on the small island of Huahine Iti, crossing the bridge to Huahine Nui, or 'big island.' Here you will drive past lush green valleys and turquoise lagoons through the capital town of Fare, where Captain James Cook sojourned on his visits to the island. Your first stop will be Maeva Village, considered to be one of French Polynesia's most important archaeological areas and home to the largest pre-historic habitation site in Polynesia. During your walk through the village, you will explore the archaeological sites along the lake shore and the Fare Pote'e Museum. You will learn about Polynesian origins and migrations, traditional society, religion, botany, European explorers and get a first-hand look at various traditional tools, handicrafts and artifacts. You will continue on to Mata'ire'a Hill, just above Maeva and home to more than 200 stone structures, including marae, agricultural terraces, house foundations, fortification walls and burial platforms. Your next stop, via "Le Truck," is a local family-run vanilla plantation where you will have the opportunity to purchase various vanilla products. Continuing on, you will stop to see and learn about the 500-year-old fish traps that are used again today by the people of Maeva Village. Your return journey to port, will take you through the village of Faie where your guide will feed the island's giant blue-eyed eels that swim in the stream, before enjoying a photo-stop at the Belvedere Lookout, for panoramic views of Huahine Iti and beautiful Maroe Bay.

Please note: There is approximately 30 mins of optional uphill and downhill walking on uneven and natural surfaces. Le Truck is a casual, open-air vehicle resembling a windowless bus. Due to road conditions in some areas of the island, you should be prepared for a bumpy ride during parts of the tour. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. It is also not recommended for those with bad backs, pregnant women or people who suffer from motion sickness or vertigo. Discover the majestic beauty of Huahine and its most fascinating attractions during this eco tour with a friendly guide. Depart the pier by off-road vehicle for the drive to Huahine Nui. During this visit, your guide will share knowledge on the use of traditional medicinal plants still in used today and found around the islands of French Polynesia After crossing the bridge linking the two islands, you will ascend the island's steepest road for spectacular panoramic views over Maroe Bay. Upon arrival in the village of Faie, a stop will be made to feed the blue-eyed eels that live in the stream running through the village. Next, you will take a short outrigger trip to visit “Huahine Pearl Farm and Pottery”, where they will share with you the secrets of the black pearl and you will have a chance to purchase the farm products. Including their famous blue pottery made from a glaze found at the bottom of the lagoon while pearl farming. You will continue on to Maeva to view the amazing, open-air stone temples (Marae) that are considered to be the islands most sacred artifacts. You will also see the 400-year-old stone-fish traps still in use today. Then visit a small Vanilla Drying House where aromatic vanilla beans are grown. After a drive along “Lake Fauna Nui” you will arrive in Fare, the island's largest town. You will then complete the circular drive around Huahine Nui with its splendid views.

Please note: Although the off-road vehicle will remain on the main road for most of the drive, this tour also involves travel over non-paved roads with steep ascents and descents. This tour is not recommended for guests with back and/or neck problems, guests who suffer from vertigo or motion sickness, or guests with limited mobility. Walking on this tour is mainly at the guests' discretion during the stops; however, a high step is required to board the 4X4s. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Board a 4-wheel-drive vehicle for a ride through Moorea’s deep valleys and mountains. In the Paopao Valley you’ll pass some pineapple plantations, then cross to the territorial property of Opunohu. Dive into this magnificent lagoon — there’s no need to be a skilled diver to swim freely in the warm waters and enjoy this experience. The boat will take you near a gorgeous sandy islet surrounded by transparent turquoise waters. You will be able to enjoy time for snorkeling and even glide with the stingrays in these clear waters. As with all creatures in their natural environment, there is no guarantee you will see stingrays, and tickets are non-refundable should a sighting not occur. Tahiti is home to many of them during the period of late July to early October. Mothers and their young swim close together, often touching one another with their flippers. Join Dr. Michael Poole for a unique opportunity to learn about these marine mammals. Sail along the coastline in search of a surprising jump or a sight of their pectoral fins! The company offering this tour follows international Ecotourism guidelines and is an active contributor to the conservation of French Polynesia’s dolphins and whales. The tour is always an opportunity to study the animals for scientific purpose, and you will learn many things from your expert guide. Dependent on whale behavior, weather and sea conditions, an optional swim may be done. This can never be guaranteed. If a swim occurs, water entry will be done via a side ladder, all guests will have to respect the legal rules for whale watching. Your operator will respect whale watching code that includes keeping a safe distance for boats at 328 feet (100M) away from the animal. Swimming is regulated to a 98 feet (30M) away from the whales. Never separate a calf from its mother, never touch an animal. Water entry is done in a calm, silent manner, group remains together, and group does not track the animals.

Please note: Guests should bring their gear from the ship, fins are compulsory as your swim would be in deep ocean, gear is not provided during the tour. Tour operator requires guests participating in water activities, to know how to swim, be comfortable in the water and able to cope with occasional currents. Guests who don’t know how to swim should NOT get in the water. Depth of water is never guaranteed, due to currents and sea level variation. Guests are reminded to verify their ability prior to taking part in a water activity. Touring onboard a boat requires vigilance; guests must be physically alert of the boat environment and fit to negotiate steps, vessel surroundings. Wildlife sightings are likely but never guaranteed. Wear your swimsuit under a cover up and bring a hat, towel, and bottled water from the ship. Biodegradable sun protection is recommended since most sunscreens contain substances that are extremely harmful to the marine ecosystem. For your own safety and to preserve the environment, please respect reef etiquette when snorkeling and do not touch or step on the coral reef.

You will head towards the east coast of Tahiti to visit the James Norman Hall House. The home displays the daily environment of this poet and writer of American contemporary literature. Enjoy a local delicacy before you continue on to Matavai Bay, and reach Venus Point, the historic landing site for most European discoverers and evangelists. Matavai Bay boasts the only lighthouse of the island, built in 1867. A Handicraft Center is located next to the lighthouse and you will have a brief opportunity for some local shopping. Your last stop will be at the Tahara’a View Point for an extraordinary photo opportunity overlooking Papeete and Moorea.
