Your motor coach and English-speaking guide will take you via the beautiful coastal road bordering the River Tagus, driving through the fashionable resort of Estoril - the home of several international royal exiles during the Second World War – to the lively scenic village of Cascais.  Here you will have a guided tour around its plaza and enjoy its colorful setting of seaside café terraces, small shops, and sailboats. For six centuries Sintra was the favorite summer residence of the kings of Portugal, who were attracted by the cool climate and the lush beauty of the town’s setting.  Writers and poets in general – Lord Byron, Alfred Tennyson, Hans Christian Andersen, and Isaac Bashevis Singer chose Sintra as a preferred destination. The tall conical chimneys of the National Palace and the fabulous Pena Palace, are two unmistakable landmarks of this area. You will have the opportunity to taste local pastry in one of the cafés in Sintra followed by a guided walk to explore this town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. Return back to your Windstar Hotel in Lisbon.

Lisbon is a city of contrasts, where modern trends merge with ancient ones, accentuating Lisbon’s variety and intensity of color. You will continue along Liberty Avenue a charming old boulevard place of several international stores (such as Prada or Armani) lined with gardens and known for its unique black and white mosaics on the sidewalks on the way to Marquês de Pombal Square. The highlight of your visit is the church of the Jeronimos Monastery (outside visit only), a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, widely acknowledged to be the finest sight in Lisbon, built in the 16th century to commemorate the discoveries of Portuguese navigators. Nearby, you will see the lavishly decorated Belem Tower, and the Monument to the Discoveries, built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the death of Prince Henry the Navigator. On the way to the hotel or to the airport, you will see, stretching across the Tagus River, the April 25th Bridge, sister to the Golden Gate, and the towering Christ the King statue on the far side.

You will be met on the pier by a guide before being escorted to an awaiting air-conditioned taxi that will take you to Fort James Beach 40 minutes away from the pier. Travel back to a time in Antigua’s history in 1706 when the British built one of its most impressive Forts to protect against French invasion.  Conquer the trail leading to this most impressive structure of defense, built with full Masonic honors as your Segway PT moves you securely down the path of history after a complete safety orientation. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to manoeuver this phenomenon of motion as it carries you through the large wooden gates of Fort James where a spectacular sight of the Caribbean Sea awaits.  After conquering the fort, embark on an endless adventure cruising by beach picnic parks, scores of fruit trees and miles of beach in minutes on your zero emission Segway as knowledgeable and fun guides fill you in on interesting facts about the area. After the tour enjoy delicious refreshments and cool drinks around a picnic table while indulging in a breathtaking view of one of the islands most popular beach bars and restaurant. With time to relax on the beach you can catch up on that good read or take a dip or just do absolutely nothing.

There is a commanding cliff top view over the Atlantic Ocean and English Harbor 487 ft. above sea level. On a clear day, the volcanic island of Montserrat, 28 miles away, can be seen. Finish your tour at Nelson's Dockyard village, named after Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, and built in 1725, to provide a base for a squadron of ships patrolling the West Indies maintaining England's sea.

From there, you will be taken straight to the airport.

Experience the thrill of racing multi-million dollar America’s Cup Race sailboats in the warm blue waters and brisk trade winds of St. Maarten. You will depart directly from your yacht in Marigot to Philipsburg, where after a briefing you will take a 10-minute tender ride out to your allocated sailboat. Either Dennis Conner’s America’s Cup winning Stars & Stripes, Canada II, or True North are yours for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The expert crew will show you exactly what to do if you want to take a “crew member’s” position. Then it’s off to the racecourse – grind a winch – trim a sail – punch a stopwatch, or just sit back, relax and enjoy the included refreshments.  After the race enjoy a victory rum punch party and browse through the museum souvenir boutique before your transfer to your Windstar hotel.
