You will board your motor coach for the 15-minute ride to the center of the first stop will be the Museum of Vietnamese History housed in a fine example of Sino-French architecture . It contains an excellent series of exhibits dating from the Bronze Age to the Nguyen dynasty. Continue your drive to the Reunification Palace. This important city landmark was assured its place in history on 30th April 1975, with the Fall of Saigon and ultimately the end of the Vietnam War. The palace is now a museum. You will walk through a green park to reach the Notre Dame Cathedral which dates back to the late 19th century. Across the street from the cathedral is the city's striking French colonial-era post office. After lunch, you will spend the afternoon exploring the hustle and bustle of China Town. Here you will find Mandarin speakers, ancient pagodas and Chinese script adorning shopfronts. Begin your exploration of the area with a visit to Thien Hau Temple. It is not uncommon for the photogenic large coils of incense that hang from the ornate ceiling of this temple to burn for up to three months at a time. Drive back downtown and experience an unprecedented 360-degree vistas of Ho Chi Minh City from the Sky Deck - Bitexco Financial Tower. Experiencing the elevator there, which travels at 23 feet per second. At a height of 860 feet and spanning 68 floors, the Bitexco Financial Tower is currently the tallest building in Ho Chi Minh City. Drive back to the port (or you may wish to be dropped off at Ben Thanh Market for shopping then make your own way back to the port). Your last stop today is Ben Thanh market to explore a lively local market and shopping. Drive back to the port. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at a local restaurant, famous for its delicious crab—straight from the ocean to your plate. After lunch, head to a pepper plantation known for producing the world-famous Kampot pepper, regarded for decades as one of the best in the world. You’ll also stop at a local village to experience the daily lives of farmers and learn about their traditional way of life in the countryside. Finally, transfer back to Sihanoukville and return to the ship, wrapping up your exploration of this beautiful region.

Immerse yourself in the city's dynamic blend of culture, art, architecture, and religion. Your first stop will be the National Museum, where you'll gain an introduction to Cambodia's rich heritage. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the city's premier restaurants that supports local women, empowering them through their work. After lunch, visit the Royal Palace and enjoy a walking tour to the Silver Pagoda. Built in 1866 by the French for King Norodom, the palace is home to the Silver Pagoda, famous for its floor made of 5,329 silver tiles. The palace has been home to the Cambodian royal family except during the Khmer Rouge regime in 1975. Some buildings are open for exploration, while others can only be viewed from the outside. Next, learn about Cambodia's religious history at Wat Phnom Penh Temple and take an orientation tour around the Independence Monument. To understand more of Phnom Penh's more recent and darker history, visit the former school that was turned into the S-21 detention and torture center during the Khmer Rouge era. Now home to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, you'll hear harrowing stories of survival through an audio guide as you explore the museum. Continue your journey to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, where a memorial park has been created around the mass graves of the victims of the Khmer Rouge regime. Important Notes: Please cover your shoulders and knees when visiting the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom, and be aware that some images at Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum may be disturbing.
